As a response to increasing attacks against houses of worship, faith-based and non-profit organizations, federal grants totaling $375 million have been approved by Congress and signed into law by the President to help finance security measures.
The bipartisan Congressional authorization increases funding for the Nonprofit Security Grants Program to allow these organizations to apply for $100,000 grants to be used for things like fencing, cameras, stronger doors and the hiring of security professionals.
